I've just been super busy lately. I have a lot of things to do as I wrap up this project. A lot of loose ends to tie up.
I've got some .wav files coming in from California; that has me excited. Some musician friends of mine are contributing on a few of my tracks -- sending their contributions through the internet. I have roughly 4 more songs to finish up before this whole thing is done. Three of those songs are "practically" finished. A couple things need to be re-recorded. They need to be mixed. But most of heavy-lifting on those 3 is finished. It's that last track that has me worried -- wondering if I'll finish in time.
This deadline keeps getting pushed back. Originally I wanted to have this whole album out in June. That was easy to think last year when I started. But, even staying consistently busy on this project, I've had to push it back more than once. Then I thought, "July or August...but no later than September." Then I thought, "For sure by the end of September." ...Well, it's obvious that's not going to happen now either.
Now I'm thinking, "Absolutely no later than the end of October." I think I might have it right this time though. Like I said, besides that one track, most of the heavy-lifting is done on this project. I still have to coordinate the design of the CD with my artist; and I have some photo shoots coming up; and other things to do. But, I think this thing is finally going to take flight soon. Stay tuned....
